I know they are in business to make money but those cars are so extremely over priced. $1,000 for a roll hoop? It's $12 in tubing with 2-90 degree bends.

"over priced"

Is in the eyes of the beholder. Ariel Atom has created / marketed a brand that people want and are willing to pay for it.

Why do people buy generic food items over the name brands or vice versa. Marketing works.

Turbo cars are like hot women. A little edgy, every guy wants one, some guys can't handle them, and if you throw a little alcohol in them they'll rock your world

true, but they could do far more volume if they cut the prices to pre-top gear popularity. I'm sure they have their reasons, but just sayin'. Im way cheap, but if I could have a turn key car for about twice what i'm puttin in the rocket the rocket would be for sale.

really? find me someone that will make a roll bar that has 5 mount points welded for the 2 front and 2 rear attachments and hoop attachment and then matched powder coating and clear coating for anywhere close to $12.

You could not make a silver spray painted masking taped cardboard tube in the correct shape for $12.

An Atom could be had for 38k brand new in the USA in when was it Bolus, 06?

If any company can sell the Atom at the price it is being marketed at, more power to them. The very existence of the car is, and will continue to inspire more affordable alternatives.

Let the Gods play. We mortals will have our games too.
